Saving Money on Food: Grow Your Own Herbs

Most herbs are very hardy and will grow in the garden or in pots on a balcony or kitchen windowsill. Fresh herbs can make salads and other basic meals into a special treat. A pot of herbs make an excellent gift.

• Rosemary - an attractive, hardy bush.
• Thyme
• Chives
• Parsley
• Basil - fresh from the garden is the only way! Basil sets seed and comes up again and again
