On Saturday 15 March 2008, elections were held for the new Moreton Bay Regional Council, the new regional council formed from the amalgamation of Pine Rivers Shire Council, Caboolture Shire Council and Redcliffe City Council as a result of Local Government Reforms. The Regional Council has 12 Councillors and a Mayor.

- Representing: Banksia Beach, Bellara, Bongaree, Donnybrook,
Godwin Beach, Meldale, Ningi, Sandstone Point, Toorbul, Welsby and
Woorim.
Division 2
- Chris Whiting
- Representing: Beachmere, Deception Bay and parts of Burpengary and Morayfield.
Division 3
- Greg Chippendale (Deputy Mayor)
- Representing: Caboolture and parts of Bellmere, Morayfield and Moodlu.
Division 4
- Julie Greer
- Representing: Dakabin, Griffin, Mango Hill, North Lakes and parts of Deception Bay, Burpengary, Kallangur, Murrumba Downs and Narangba.
Division 5
- James Houghton
- Representing: Kippa-Ring (north), Redcliffe (north), Rothwell and Scarborough.
Division 6
- Rae Frawley
- Representing: Clontarf, Kippa-Ring (south), Redcliffe (south), Margate and Woody Point.
Division 7
- David Dwyer
- Representing: Petrie and parts of Kallangur, Kurwongbah and Murrumba Downs.
Division 8
- Mick Gillam
- Representing: Bray Park, Cashmere, Joyner, Lawnton, Warner and parts of Strathpine.
Division 9
- Mike Charlton
- Representing: Albany Creek, Brendale, Eatons Hill, and parts of Clear Mountain and Strathpine (south).
Division 10
- Brian Battersby
- Representing: Albany Creek (south west), Bunya and The Hills District.
Division 11
- Bob Millar
- Representing: Armstrong Creek, Dayboro, Draper, Laceys Creek, Mt Glorious, Mt Nebo and parts of Clear Mountain, Kurwongbah, Narangba, Samford, Samford Valley, Samsonvale and Whiteside.
Division 12
- Adrian Raedel
- Representing: Bellthorpe, Booroobin, Bracalba, Campbells Pocket, Cedarton, Commissioners Flat, D'Agular, Delaneys Creek, Elimbah, Mt Delaney, Mt Mee, Moorina, Rocksberg, Stanmore, Stony Creek, Wamuran, Wamuran Basin, Woodford and Parts of Bellmere and Moodlu.
